The wines from Number One Family Estate in Marlborough, New Zealand, follow the traditions set over 12 generations by a family of winemakers in Champagne, France.
The New Zealand vineyard was set up in July 1997 by champagne maker Daniel Le Brun, his wife Adele and their children Virginie and Remy. Their first wine, Cuvee No.1, was released in 1999.
No. 1 Family Estate is dedicated to only methodes traditionelle: Cuvée No. 1, a non-vintage blanc de blancs (100% chardonnay), Cuvée Number Eight, a non-vintage blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, Cuvée Virginie, a vintage blend available in only the finest years and the latest release Limited Edition Reserve Cuvee 10, a Pinot Noir Chardonnay blend.
