Established in 1998 and already regarded as one of Margaret River’s five star wine producers, Were Estate is a family owned boutique wine operation led by passionate and energetic wine lovers. The vines are 100% estate planted in the heart of the ‘golden’ district of Willyabrup.
As of 2009, wines have been made by Clive Otto. In November 2005 Otto was named Australian Winemaker of the Year by Winestate Magazine following sixteen years of winemaker at Vasse Felix winery.
